Little Learners Educational Center is committed to providing an environment of trust and respect between the Little Learners family and your family. We take pride in the highest quality curriculum that enhances the emotional, physical, social and cognitive development of each child.
Philosophy
Little Learners Educational Center has developed a program to meet the needs of the whole child. Activities are planned to encourage the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth of each child. An emphasis is placed on the learning process during these activities rather than on the finished product. High self-esteem is nurtured in each child and is a main goal of the program. Every child is accepted for who they are and their current level of development.
Services
- Classrooms are equipped with web cameras families can access and see their child throughout the day.
- Individualized reading and writing program included in preprimary tuition
- Introduction to the Spanish language in a group setting through books, songs and visuals is included in Preprimary rooms tuition
- Nutritious meals and snacks are prepared on site by our Cook. Organic milk is provided.
- Field trips are included in tuition for Prekindergarten classes
Our Programs & Curriculum
Infant Program
6 weeks to 15 months
Individualized schedules are followed based on the infants needs. Open communications builds trusting relationships between caregivers and parents.
Toddler Program
15 months to 2 years
Teachers use music, finger plays, books and physical activities to promote language and physical development.
Two's Program
2 year olds
Focus is on language, social skills, independence and potty training.
Preprimary
3 and 4 year olds
Our preschool curriculum includes an individualized reading and writing program. Math and science activities are planned daily along with group Spanish instruction.
PreKindergarten
4 and 5 year olds
The Prekindergarten Curriculum includes an individualized reading and writing program. In the afternoon there are math, science and Spanish activities.
Founders
Little Learners Educational Center, Inc. is family owned and operated. Debra Creaney and her daughter-in-law Cherie Creaney with the help of their husbands, Jeff and the late Kerry, opened the center January 2, 2006. The idea for starting Little Learners came about during the time Debra was finishing her Master of Arts in Teaching and needed to close her home daycare of 25 years to student teach. During the same time Cherie expressed her disappointment of the daycare center tours she went on when looking for care for her unborn son. The added stress of continuous work travel and idea of being away from her growing family the idea of starting a childcare center together was born. The partnership easily fell into place with Debra's educational background and experience with children and Cherie's business background. Little Learners has been a labor of love for their families. Debra and her husband worked hard designing and making many of the furniture items throughout the center. What started as an empty furniture store turned into Debra's and Cherie's vision of a quality childcare learning center. Over the years the Creaney's have been blessed with great clients and teachers creating a family environment here at Little Learners.
